Monument & Museum Of PDRI (Emergency Government Of The Republic Of Indonesia)

Pemerintahan Darurat Republik Indonesia (PDRI) was an emergency government (government in exile) of the Republic of Indonesia set up during the occupation of Indonesian Capital, then in Yogyakarta. The emergency government was led by Mr. Sjafruddin Prawiranegara and located in Bukittinggi, West Sumatera, which then moved around West Sumatera to avoid arrest by The Dutch.

After the Roem-Royen peace agreement, Mr. Sjafruddin Prawiranegara disbanded the PDRI and returned the mandate to the President of The Republic of Indonesia.

This was my competition entry for a conceptual design of a complex of a monument and a museum to be built in Bukittinggi to commemorate the role of PDRI in the history of the Republic of Indonesia.
